Dare2B Kids’ Waterproof Jackets Review
|Dare2B Kids’ Waterproof Jackets Review
In the UK, a kids waterproof jacket is an essential part of a child’s wardrobe. We have all kinds of weather and it definitely rains quite a lot so it’s good to be prepared. “There’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes.” is a famous Scandinavian quote that is quite true – though I think some weathers are better than others…
Being prepared and having the right equipment can save the day and if rain is a possibility, a waterproof coat is a must! My older girls have a some new Dare2B kids’ waterproof jackets that I will show you in this article.
My girls both have a Kids’ In The Lead II Hooded Waterproof Jacket – my middle girl has the Dragonfly Green and my eldest the Black Ebony Grey. Both colourways look great and were chosen by the girls themselves from a selection of colours available on the Dare2B website.
We love these new jackets! They’re lightweight and versatile and protect the kids from wind, rain and snow with their tough-wearing ARED 20 20 waterproof/breathable performance shell.
The jackets have a soft 4-way stretch fabric that lets the children move comfortably and the material is highly breathable too, keeping them a comfortable temperature. It can be used all year round by layering according to the temperature.
Other features include a durable water repellent finish, taped seams, a part mesh, part polyester taffeta lining, attached technical hood with high collar and elastication, adjustable cuffs and two zipped lower pockets.
The 7+ sizes also have an adjustable shockcord hem and an internal zip pocket including a headphone port.
Last but not least, these jackets also have reflective details for enhanced visibility. This is something that I always look for when choosing clothes that the children will wear in dark or wet conditions as it can literally be lifesaving.
My 5-year-old has the coat in size 5-6 and my 7-year-old in size 7-8. They fit very well but still have some room for the girls to grow in both length and width.
These jackets were kindly gifted for review. As always, all my reviews are 100% honest and all thoughts and opinions are my own.
