Giveaway: Win All Four Books of Marge in Charge by Isla Fisher
If you have a child aged 5 to 8 years old, here’s a great chance to win the full series of Marge in Charge books by comedian, Hollywood actress, mother and author Isla Fisher. I’ve got three bundles of all four books to give away at the end of this blog post.
Piccadilly Press is due to publish the last book in her children’s series, Marge and the Secret Tunnel on the 17th May this year. The first two books in the series, Marge in Charge and Marge and the Pirate Baby were published in 2016 with the third, Marge and the Great Train Rescue, being published last year.
About the book series:
The books follow the adventures of two siblings Jakey Pants and Jemima and their unorthodox babysitter Marge. Jemima is the narrator of each book and the eldest child, she feels she has to be a ‘good girl,’ so Marge teaches her to be silly and have fun and enjoy being a child! Each book has three fresh, fun and family-friendly Marge stories which are perfect for children who are reading alone and just as fun when read aloud at bedtime.
The message from each book is: ‘Don’t worry about being perfect or you’ll miss out on the fun!’
About Isla Fisher:
Isla began acting as a child and has worked solidly in television and film for the past 25 years. She also studied in Paris to become a clown for two years before realising that there is not much call for miming ‘the wall’! She has played many roles over the years, from a bonkers bridesmaid in Wedding Crashers to the poster girl for consumerism in Confessions Of A Shopaholic. But her favourite role has been with her kids where she gets to make up stories every night, before bedtime. Marge was the character they always wanted to hear more about and the Marge in Charge ser ies grew from that- they’re a reminder of all the fun they have at bedtime reading books and sharing stories.
Comments about the books:
The books have been brilliantly received by young readers, parents, authors and press alike.
- ‘Isla Fisher is hilarious.’ – David Walliams
- ‘Charming, funny and delightful.’ – David Baddiel
- ‘Three warm, funny stories of Saturnalian mischief.’ – The Guardian, Review
- ‘Fisher’s debut novel, is the comic tale of an anarchic babysitter who causes mayhem. Perfect for reading aloud.’ – The Daily Express
