Having a capsule wardrobe is a great way to simplify your daily life. It can also make travelling easier as you’ll be able to pack light and still wear your favourite outfits. In this article, we are going to look at how to build a summer travel capsule wardrobe with some gorgeous items from Sherpa.
What are the benefits of having a capsule wardrobe?
First, let’s explore why creating a capsule wardrobe is a good idea. There are many benefits to having a smaller but carefully planned wardrobe. The capsule wardrobe approach means having fewer items in your wardrobe. Still you will have plenty of choice for what to wear but without the feeling of overwhelm. This is because the garments in your wardrobe will all be things that you love to wear and that you find comfortable. Additionally, they will be items that you can easily combine with each other to create different looks.
You’ll also be able to buy better quality garments as you focus on carefully selecting the right pieces of clothing instead of a large quantity of stuff. Fewer things mean less clutter and less stress. Instead, you can enjoy the process of getting dressed knowing you love all the things that you have chosen for your capsule wardrobe.
Summer Travel Capsule Wardrobe Updates with Sherpa
What you need for your summer travel capsule wardrobe will of course depend on what you already have and what your style and lifestyle is like. I needed a few summer garments that would be suitable for British summer weather and for potentially travelling abroad too. I was looking for things that would be easy and compact to pack. Additionally, I was on the lookout for items that I could wear for different occasions and activities. Like with all capsule wardrobe items, versatile options that are easy to combine with other garments was another priority.
Sherpa’s Background & Mission
Sherpa was founded in 2003 by Tashi Sherpa and his family to support the communities and people of Nepal. It is a small and environmentally conscious brand with a mission to support education programs and scholarships in Nepal. The products are produced in Nepal too which also provides meaningful employment and income for many locals.
Sherpa makes clothing and accessories that are suitable for adventurous lifestyles. The items have been designed with the customer and the planet in mind. Specifically, the premium garments are comfortable to wear and made from eco-friendly, durable materials, including UV protective hemp and soft, ethical wool, as well as robust, lightweight Tencel and Modal.
My Summer Wardrobe Updates
The garments that you can see in this article are:
The Blouse
The Hara Cap Sleeve Top is a versatile top that’s perfect for warmer weather. The material mix is breathable organic cotton and super soft modal. The top combines comfort and style and can be combined with a skirt, shorts, or trousers. It has flattering cap sleeves, a loose fit, and interesting details. These include delicate shirring on the shoulder seams and the back of the neck, embroidery at the neck that cascades down the centre of the top, and small side slits at the hem. These beautiful details add to the simple yet delightful design.
The Skirt
The Padma Pull On Skirt might be the perfect skirt! It’s so comfortable, stylish, and lightweight. It’s a great length and let’s you move comfortably whether you are out sightseeing, going for a meal, or hiking up a mountain.
I have it in this stunning Tibetan print which is inspired by the lotus flowers found in paintings and tapestries of the Himalayan region set on a black background. It makes the skirt more interesting but it’s still easy to combine with lots of different tops. Additionally, the skirt also has two side entry pockets and an internal security pocket in the waistband.
The Dress
I love dresses for simple dressing as they’re a complete outfit in one piece. The Neha Midi Dress from Sherpa is a great dress that you can wear for different occasions. It’s lightweight and easy to pack so ideal for summer travelling. I have it in the Black Barely There colour which is a grey colour with a gorgeous geometric print.
Just like the skirt, this is a very versatile garment that you can wear for a variety of activities. It’s a beautiful dress that is comfortable too and you can move around in it so effortlessly. Features include an empire waist, drapey fabric, side slits at the hem, removable bra cups, and a cut out design on the back. The dress also has two handy pockets which is great. You can easily it dress up or down with different types of shoes, jackets/cardigans, and accessories.
The Bag
Last but not least, an easy-to-pack Market Tote with reinforced straps is a travel essential. Simple and stylish and with room for all your essentials whether you’re heading to the beach for the day or are going on a shopping trip. Available in a selection of different colours and decorated with an exclusive print design, this tote is the perfect addition to your travel outfit.
Conclusion
I’m really happy with these wardrobe updates from Sherpa. All the items are of great quality, fit well and are so comfortable too. I can see them working well for travel and regular life. Additionally, the styles are classic so I’m sure I’ll be wearing these garments for many years to come.
