Learning Resources Create-a-Space Storage Center Review
|Learning Resources Create-a-Space Storage Center Review
My two older girls and I love drawing, painting and doing crafts but, until recently, our art supplies were a huge mess! All the pens, pencils, brushes, crayons, etc. were all chucked in one large box and it made it very difficult to find what you were looking for and it was quite unsightly too.
I went online to look for storage ideas that would work for us and came across this colourful solution from Learning Resources. Learning Resources is an educational toy company that focuses on making educational toys fun. They have many products that range from ages 18 months to 12 years and that focuses on different educational insights.
Their Create-a-Space Storage Center is an attractive storage solution that is ideal for the home but that would also work really well in a classroom environment. When it arrived, I was happy to see that the size was even more generous than I’d imagined! It’s got a diameter of 30.5cm and a height of 11.5cm. It consists of a white tray with eight colourful wedge shaped pots and a white circular one that goes in the middle. The pots are sturdy and can hold lots of pens and tools!
I really like that this holds all the kids’ pens and colouring pencils so neatly and that we can assign different pots for different types of pens. We have one for felt tips, two for regular colouring pencils, one for chunky colouring pencils, one for crayons, one for small paint sticks, one for writing pens, one for pencils and erasers and one for accessories like glue, rulers, paint brushes etc. Everything has a home and it’s really easy for the girls to keep it all organised so that they can find what they need quickly.
It’s great that the pots can be lifted out so that if you just want the crayons for example, you just get that pot out. The only thing I would change about this storage center is that I would make the white tray a Lazy Susan so that you could easily spin the whole storage center to access pens from wherever you’re sat. I have put the whole thing on a metal tray for now to protect the table and this also allows the tray to be spun but I am going to buy a wooden Lazy Susan from IKEA next time we’re there to use instead as that will work more smoothly.
Get your pen collection organised with a Learning Resources Create-a-Space Storage Center too. They’re available to buy from the Learning Resources website here or from Amazon.co.uk.
