Today is the publishing date of a few brilliant books from Laurence King Publishing. One of them is Mythopedia which is an encyclopedia of mythical creatures and their stories.

In this gorgeous hardback book by Good Wives and Warriors, we meet mythical creatures from legends, tales and myths from all around the world.

The large, very detailed and colourful illustrations are absolutely amazing! My 6.5-year-old adores reading this book, looking at the pictures for ages and discovering the stories of these creatures by reading the accompanying text. When she finds a particularly interesting one, she runs over to me, shows me the illustration and retells the story.

It’s a really fascinating book that’s very unique too. I can see my girl being into this one for a very long time!

If you or your children are into mythical creatures and want to learn more about myths and legends from around the world, this it the book for you. It’s a really well designed book that is a pleasure to flick through, finding a new mythical beasts to discover and learn about.
