New Nivea Cellular LUMINOUS Anti Dark Spot Range

I’m always careful in the sun these days but sun exposure from being a child, going through hormonal changes with my three pregnancies and of course just getting older means that I keep an eye out for products that can help reduce dark sports and even skin tone.

The new Nivea Cellular LUMINOUS Anti Dark Spot Range has proved efficacy in targeting the root cause of dark spots with visible results in four weeks’ time and more improvement over time.

The reasons behind dark spots – whether they’re caused by sun exposure, ageing or hormonal changes, is a melanin imbalance. The new product range is the result of 10 years of research where NIVEA scientists worked towards recreating the human enzyme that produces melanin. They found molecule 630 which is successful in balancing pigmentation production and reducing dark spots.

First up, the Day Fluid which is my favourite in this range. It’s a great day cream with SPF50 (the higher the better for me and 50 is great for a regular cream) that prevents existing spots from getting darker and prevents new ones from forming. It’s a gentle and hydrating formula with cell-activating Hyaluronic Acid and vitamin E. It leaves skin feeling soft with a slight matte finish, ready for the day ahead. I also like the hygienic pump dispenser and slim bottle design that makes it very easy to take with you when travelling.

This is a pioneering eye cream that targets the causes of dark circles – pigmentation, dehydrated skin, and puffy, dull skin. The formula visibly reduces dark circles around the eyes with Luminous⁶³⁰, depuffs tired eyes with caffeine and hydrates the skin with Hyaluronic Acid to reduce lines and wrinkles. It’s a hardworking cream that feels great on the delicate skin around my eyes and helps me look more rested.

Next up, a luxurious night cream that helps even out skin tone as the formula restores your complexion as you sleep. It contains cell-activating Hyaluronic Acid which hydrates, regenerates and strengthens the skin and Luminous⁶³⁰ that visibly reduces dark spot for an even and luminous complexion. The cream feels rich and nourishing on my skin and sinks in quickly. For best result, apply on face, neck and décolletage.

Last but not least, there’s a hand cream available in this range too. Looking after your hands is so important for comfort and if you want to look younger for longer too. This cream is nourishing and has SPF15 to protect your hands from the sun that causes premature ageing and dark spots. This lovely hand cream contains Lumious⁶³⁰ to reduce the appearance of dark pigment spots and Hyaluronic Acid to lock in moisture to keep your hands feeling moisturised for longer. It’s a nice formula that doesn’t leave any sticky residue so perfect for using throughout the day as needed.
