Organically Epic Organic Dental Care Review

Creating an eco-friendly dental routine can be a tough one especially if you have any dental issues that you’re dealing with. Generally, my teeth are fine, but I have one tooth that I have some issues with – after having a filling done on it 8 years ago, the gap between it and the next tooth is too tight which causes pain and means I need good flossing tools and a decent mouthwash to deal with any sensitivity in the area.

I have recently discovered the brand Organically Epic which is a small, female owned, British business that makes organic, eco-friendly, and sustainable dental care products. This award-winning brand is behind the UKs First Electric Toothbrush with Bamboo Heads and also have a range of other brilliant dental products, some of which I have tried and will share more about in this blog post. All products are 100% vegan, 100% cruelty free and made with as natural and organic materials as possible.

Let’s have a look at the products that I have tested!

• Brightening Antioxidant Toothpaste

A natural toothpaste that has been specifically developed to freshen breath, help lifts stains, and brighten teeth while also being soothing and nourishing to both teeth and gums. It helps remove bacteria and helps prevent tooth decay, plaque build-up and gum disease.

Certified Organic by COSMOS, certified Vegan by the Vegan Society and certified Cruelty Free, made with a high organic content, with upcycled ingredients and in collaboration with dentists. Made in the UK without SLS and without fluoride and packaged in upcycled, carbon neutral sugar cane tube packaging and FSC Certified carton packaging.

The formula contains papaya enzyme, papain and activated charcoal to brighten teeth and help lift stains and contains essential oils peppermint and tea treat which are anti-bacterial and antimicrobial, along with menthol for that clean, cool and fresh feeling that we all love. It also contains coconut oil which helps pull bacteria from the mouth and aloe vera leaf juice to soothe gums and teeth with an antioxidant boost.

Since it’s a fluoride free toothpaste, the super food cranberry extract was added instead as it’s packed with antioxidants and contains flavonoids that help fight plaque and tooth decay. It also contains a high amount of xylitol to inhibit acid production to reduce the risk of tooth decay and cavities developing.

The toothpaste tastes great and works brilliantly! The soft texture is pleasant and makes it easy to get the product to reach everywhere in your mouth. The taste is lovely and the toothpaste leaves my mouth and teeth feeling fresh and healthy.

• Charcoal Infused Bamboo Toothbrush

Organically Epic also makes manual toothbrushes made from bamboo and with charcoal infused bristles. Bamboo is naturally anti-bacterial and antimicrobial and an eco-friendly option for toothbrushes. The charcoal in the bristles helps the brightening process, fights bacteria and soothes gums. You can choose between soft, medium, or firm bristles and there are also toothbrushes available in a children’s size.

• Cruelty Free Dental Floss

I absolutely love the Brightening Antioxidant Toothpaste but I think that I love this floss even more! It’s simply perfect – the ideal thickness, a handy eco-friendly bamboo dispenser and a super fresh peppermint taste.

The cute bamboo floss container comes with 50m of charcoal infused vegan floss that helps remove stains and clean between teeth to keep your gums healthy. The peppermint flavour is so lovely, and the thickness of the floss is perfect for getting a thorough clean. Refills are available to buy separately to reduce waste.

• Sustainable Bamboo Interdental Brushes

Last but not least, bamboo interdental brushes. These tiny brushes are perfect for cleaning between teeth to get to hard-to-reach places to remove food particles. Dentists recommend using interdental brushes as part of your dental care routine to help prevent gum disease, bad breath and gingivitis. Each brush can last up to two months when used twice daily – just make sure to rinse it well and leave it to dry after each use. I love using these and love that they’re sustainable!
