I have been a big fan of Playmobil since I was a child and my three children all love playing with Playmobil too which makes me very happy as it’s fun for me to join in with them.

Our newest addition is the new Farm with Small Animals Playmobil set which is a large play set with a big farm barn and lots of accessories.

Included with the set are the following items:

• Figures: 1 farmer, 1 farmer’s wife, 1 girl
• Animals: 6 birds, 1 bird in nest, 2 geese, 6 chicks, 2 mice, 4 pigeons, 2 chickens, 1 dog, 1 sheep, 1 lamb, 1 cow, 1 calf
• Accessories: 1 farm building, 1 tractor, 2 feeding troughs, 1 potato basket, 2 feeding tufts, 4 grass tufts, 3 hay bales, 1 basket, 4 fences, 1 tree, 1 pitchfork, 1 milk bottle, 1 ladder, 1 feed bag, 1 egg carton, 1 trailer hitch, 1 loading platform for tractor.

After a bit of assembling to build the farm house and a few of the accessories, we’re ready to play! We were all really exited to play with this new set!

There so much fun to be had with this play set and so many different play opportunities! Farms are fun places for children and it’s great to play out the different activities that a farmer family might get up to in a day.

Farmers have very busy days looking after the farm and caring for the many animals who live there. Their day starts early in the morning and there’s always lots to do!

The cows and calves need fresh food in the morning, the sheep need new hay, the birds (chickens and geese!) need seeds and the barn needs cleaning out too. The animals also need fresh water and there are eggs to collect and carrots and potatoes to harvest too.

More hay needs to be collected with the tractor and brought back to the farm barn to be stored in the loft. Luckily the tractor makes the job easy, and the goods lift makes moving items up to the loft a breeze!

At the end of the day, the tractor needs to be parked and locked away safely inside the barn until the next day when another working day at the farm begins.

All three of my girls absolutely love playing with this Playmobil set! My older two, aged 8 and nearly 6 years old, play out lots of different scenarios and love setting up the scene. They also have lots of fun playing with the goods lift. My youngest is nearly 3 years old and she loves playing with the tractor, transporting things around in it.
