Quinoderm Antibacterial Facewash Review

I like to rotate a few different face washes depending on what my skin feels like. Some days, I need one that’s a scrub, sometimes something caring and moisturising and on other days I need something that will help fight breakouts. For the latter, I’ve been using Quinoderm Antibacterial Facewash.

You might know Quinoderm for their dual action acne creams (with Benzoyl peroxide and Potassium hydroxyquinolone sulphate) which are very efficient at treating acne. They can be a bit strong for sensitive skin though.

This face wash is dual action too, but contains different active ingredients from the creams. The wash works by combining chlorhexidine digluconate  an antiseptic, antibacterial, anti-fungal and descloughing agent that kills bacteria and removes build-up of dead skin cells which can block your sebaceous glands and cause breakouts  and mytrimonium bromide which is an antiseptic agent that cleans your skin well and removes any excess sebum.

You use the wash morning and night like any liquid soap/wash for your face, massaging it in with wet hands and especially paying attention to the areas where you suffer from blackheads or breakouts. (You should avoid getting the product in your eyes.) Then you rinse it off and moisturise as usual.

For me, Quinoderm Antibacterial Facewash works really well. It is powerful, yet gentle and my skin feels nice and healthy after using it and there’s no irritation whatsoever. It’s my new go to wash for days when I feel like my skin needs a deep clean or I know breakouts might be on their way.

If you are unsure which product to choose, there is a great guide on antibacterial soaps available here.

I was sent a bottle of Quinoderm Antibacterial Facewash for this review. As always, all my reviews are 100% honest and all thoughts and opinions are my own. Contains sponsored links.
