The New GANT Teen Collection – GANT Teens Parka Review
GANT have some news for AW18 — they’ve just launched a new kids and teens collection which is great as the teens who have been buying the smallest sizes from the women’s and men’s lines can now buy sizes that are perfect for them.
The children’s wear lines are now available from newborn to teen sizes 122-176 and include a full range of products — chinos, shirts, polo shirts, sporty jerseys, accessories and outerwear pieces such parkas for an active lifestyle.
The styles are very classic and timeless and there are preppy, more sophisticated and dressier items as well as more relaxed and comfortable clothes. Many of the items feature embroidery and GANT’s signature logos. All items showcase GANT’s everlasting style and superior quality.
One thing that’s great about when your kids reach their teenage years is that they eventually stop growing so fast and that clothes should fit them for longer which makes it a perfect time to invest in quality pieces that can last them through their teenage years and maybe even into adulthood, like the parka jacket that I’m showing you in this post.
This parka is part of the teenage range from GANT and I’m wearing it in size 176 which has been my height since I was probably around 14 years old. I’m 30 now and still 176cm and this jacket fits me perfectly. It’s quite spacious which is great for layering in the winter and also good for me as I’m currently pregnant with Baby No. 3 so I do have a bit of a bump already which you can see above to the right.
GANT make very high quality and well-made items and this is one of those investment pieces that will last you or your teen many, many years.
The GANT Teens padded parka is available in classic Evening Blue or Burnt Ochre and costs £165. It’s got elasticated cuffs, a concealed zip-up front and a detachable drawstring hood which is a great size. The lower pockets are flap pockets and there are also two hand-warming pockets higher up. It’s also got a pocket on the inside which is great for valuables.
You can choose to use the drawstrings at the waist if you wish to pull the jacket into a more formfitting shape or wear it as it is. I’m showing both in the photos in this blog post.
Other details include the felt GANT logo patch on one shoulder and a name label area on the inside which is ideal for teens who are still at school or in college.
The outer is made from a mix of cotton and polyester, the inside is made from polyester and the padding is made from recycled polyester fibres. The parka is machine washable at 30 degrees.
It’s such a comfortable coat and it feels like you’re wearing a luxurious yet light duvet. It will definitely keep me toasty and dry this autumn/winter and I’d highly recommend this coat to teens and adults too.
