Turtlemeter Baby Bath Thermometer & Bath Toy Review
The Turtlemeter is a baby bath thermometer built into a fun, safe and cute turtle bath toy. It floats on the surface and instantly activates when you put it into the water so there’s no need for switches or buttons. It calculates the bath water temperature every second and displays the temperature with three different colour screens quickly indicating if the water is too hot or too cold or just right. Red means too hot, blue means too cold and green means just right which is very suitable and easy to remember.
The Turtlemeter is compliant with the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act, completely safe and fully submersible. It comes with the needed 3 AAA batteries installed.
This thermometer and toy is really cute and the quality seems good too. It’s larger than most other bath thermometer that I’ve seen at 15.2 x 5.1 x 12.7 cm which makes it a great size toy to play with in the bath or out of the bath.
It really works instantly and I love that it recalculates the temperature so often. When you take it out of the bath you need to dry the bottom of the Turtlemeter otherwise it stays on if it’s still wet and that will wear the battery out sooner than necessary.
Here you can see the Turtlemeter going for a test swim in our sink for a photo. We always do bath time at night and then it’s too dark for photography!
We don’t normally use a bath thermometer because we’re quite good at telling if water is the right temperature by feeling it but will use this when the grandparents are helping out with bath time and for playing with, of course!
The Turtlemeter‘s RRP is £19.99 but it costs just £9.99 from Amazon.co.uk.
