What to Wear as a Winter Wedding Guest

Winter is just around the corner – well, we’ve already had quite a lot of snow this past week! With the change in season, we also welcome the Christmas wedding season with beautiful winter weddings. How exciting!

When dressing for a winter wedding that you’re attending as a guest, there are a few things to consider. It’s not quite as easy as a summer wedding as the weather conditions need to be taken in to account more.

The good news is that there are plenty of stunning wedding guest dresses that work wonderfully for the winter wedding season. In this article, we’ll look at how to best choose a suitable outfit for a winter wedding and how to best accessorize and style it to look amazing and ensure that you stay warm throughout the festivities too!

Before you chose your wedding outfit, find out the details for the wedding you will be attending. What is the official dress code, how formal is the event and how much time will you be spending outside? Also check the weather forecast closer to the day to check if you need to make any last minute changes or additions to your outfit.

Most winter weddings are mainly indoors so you can still pretty much wear any suitable wedding guest dress and style it for the season. Some colours and designs might seem a bit too summery and a dress with a longer sleeve is more suitable than a sleeveless dress.
