Where to Travel to Once Lockdown Eases – Our Plans…
|Where to Travel to Once Lockdown Eases
As lockdown restrictions are starting to ease off, many of us are itching to head out on adventures again even if our choices will still be a bit limited this year. Good thing there is plenty to do and many places to visit more locally here in the UK.
This article is in collaboration with Driven Worldwide which is a specialist global provider of chauffeur services for Financial Roadshows. I will be sharing some of the UK places that we are looking forward to visiting this summer.
Where to travel to this summer – Our plans…
- The Seaside
One of our favourite summer destinations is the seaside. We love Bridlington and Skegness, especially. It is a retro style holiday like the ones of my husband’s childhood (I grew up in Sweden so my childhood holidays were different) and it’s fun and easy with young children. We don’t live by the coast so it’s a bit of a drive for us but always worth it. Last year, we did not go anywhere in the summer due to the pandemic so the longing for the seaside is extra strong. The kids absolutely love playing on the beach, having fun in the arcades, and enjoying traditional seaside treats: fish and chips, ice creams and fresh seaside doughnuts.
- Towns & Cities Nearby
We are also looking forward to some daytrips to cute towns and cities nearby as this is something that we have missed too. We might head to Bakewell for a small-town experience or to Lincoln or York on the train or by car for a day out with museum visits, a bit of shopping and a yummy lunch somewhere. These are great destination for a simple day out with plenty of things to do for the whole family.
- Camping
One thing we’re also looking forward to doing as a family this year and that requires a bit of travelling is to go camping. It is the perfect thing to do this year as it provides a great way to socially distance and stay safe while the world is still as it is. Plus, it is fun and exciting too. We have not yet decided on a camping site or camping destination, but I am sure we will find something suitable.
We are looking forward to these simple trips and days out this year and feel like it’s the perfect way of easing out of lockdown and back into the real world after a long year stuck in the house!
