Alón Labs Serenity Facial Serum is a skincare product designed to be used by pregnant and breastfeeding women to help look after their skin and fight redness, hyperpigmentation and aging.

The product is an unscented, water-based serum with all-natural ingredients of well known, pregnancy safe molecules.

The Alón Labs Serenity Facial Serum arrives in a box containing two bottles that you mix yourself to get a freshly made serum that will last you 30 days. One bottle contains an activating liquid and the other a powder. This is due to the instability of ingredients such as Vitamin C when in liquid. By keeping the two parts separately until purchased, the product’s quality improves and the serum will be more potent.

You might wonder if you’ll use a full bottle of serum in just 30 days but this is a water based, very thin formula and you are supposed to use 2-3 full droppers (not drops!) for each application, morning and evening, so you should use up the full bottle in the recommended time.

Like the rest of the products by Alón Labs, this serum harnesses the power and potency of nature to help heal and rejuvenate skin. It feels gentle, yet effective when I apply it to my face, neck and décolletage.  It feels hydrating, nourishing and tightening which is just what I need at the moment. I follow with my regular moisturiser at night and one with SPF in the daytime.

I love that the ingredients are all natural and that the product is designed to be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding as I often worry if things are suitable for these important stages in my life. I’m also a fan of the fresh formula and mixing it myself at home. I know it’s as fresh as can be and the 30 day use by date means I intensely treat my skin during this time and help avoid any skin pigmentation that is so common in pregnancy.
