Mum 2 Mum Baby Wonder Bibs for Weaning & Teething Review
Babies are so messy from the moment they enter the world. Around the age of a few months, most babies start drooling and showing early signs of teething and then around six months or so, it’s time to start weaning and that can be very messy whether you’re doing BLW or purées.
My littlest one is 6.5 months old now and has been drooling heavily for as long as I can remember. We’ve not seen the first tooth yet but she’s definitely teething. She’s been gnawing on things for a long time but in the last week or so she’s been unsettled, difficult to soothe and drooling even more so I think the first tooth will show itself soon. I hope it’s soon so we can all sleep again…
Chewing on things definitely seems to help her and because chewing usually causes more dribble, I’m so happy to have come across the new Mum 2 Mum Teething Bandana Wonder Bib. It’s the award winning Mum 2 Mum dribble bib with an added silicone teether at the tip. It’s been designed with raised and offset surfaces and is perfect for babies to chew on to gently massage and soothe those sore gums.
It’s so clever because the bib keeps your baby’s neck and chest dry and clean and the teether is right there for your little one to play with and chew whenever they need it. They can’t drop it on the floor or lose it so it’s perfect. We love it!
The bib is made from 100% cotton with a waterproof nylon backing to make them washer and dryer safe and waterproof yet breathable against your baby’s delicate skin. The teether is BPA free. The bib can hold 1/4 cup liquid which is amazing! The neckline can be adjusted to fit your baby perfectly and closes with a button not Velcro which is very important to me when choosing bibs as Velcro ruins everything else in the wash. The bib washes really well on a regular wash.
The Mum 2 Mum Teething Bandana Wonder Bib costs £8.00 and is available in lots of beautiful colours. It’s suitable from 4 months.
Onto weaning which is even messier than teething. We’re doing a mix of BLW and purées but either way, it’s messy and a good bib is essential unless I want to wash yet another baby outfit! Mum 2 Mum have a few bibs to choose from and the Standard Wonder Bib is perfect for when I’m spoon feeding my baby.
It’s the original Mum 2 Mum Wonder Bib and like the teething bib, this bib too has a 100% cotton upper and a waterproof nylon backing. It can be washed in the washing machine and dried in the tumble dryer. The material is soft and breathable and the neckline is adjustable with pop buttons.
Check out the video below to see the demonstration of the bib holding 1/4 cup liquid. No wonder it won the Bizzie Baby 2013 Bronze Award!
This bib is available in a rainbow of colours and costs £5. One size fits all.
The award winning mess-proof Mum 2 Mum Sleeved Wonder Bib is ideal for baby led weaning and messy eaters! It’s got long sleeves with elasticated wrists to keep mess away from your baby’s clothes. It’s made from the same materials as the other bibs and can also be machine washed and dried. They wash beautifully and seem impossible to stain so far.
This bib comes in two different sizes. Small for age 6-18 months and Large for 18 months – 3 years. It’s available in lots of beautiful colours!
All the bibs and many more cool and practical baby items can be bought from Baby & More.
We were sent these items for this review. As always, all my reviews are 100% honest and all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Very disappointed with the product, with colour fading during “HAND WASH”(even I’ve washed them more than 10 times). They’ve damaged my other baby clothes in white. Plus the customer service of Mum 2 Mum claims it says “machine wash” with likely colours. (Excuse me, I’m talking about hand wash! ) Very disappointed with the brand will never ever use again! Not worth the price!
