Ben & Anna Deodorant Review – Natural, Zero Waste Deodorant
|Ben & Anna Deodorant Review – Natural, Zero Waste Deodorant | AD
I have enjoyed using natural deodorants for years and love trying different types to see which ones work well and smell great. Until recently, I hadn’t yet tried Ben & Anna deodorants but I have now so thought I’d share my experience.
Ben & Anna is a brand (created by couple Ben and Anna) that makes lots of different vegan, sustainable, and plastic-free products but making a deodorant that ticked all the boxes was actually their first mission when it all started. Anna had been searching for a suitable deodorant for herself but couldn’t find one that was vegan, cruelty-free, and free from aluminium. Ben and Anna took matters into their own hands and created their own natural deodorant made from all natural ingredients. It’s free from parabens too and meets all the previously mentioned requirements.
Today, Ben & Anna have both Soda Deodorants (with bicarbonate soda) and Sensitive Deodorants (without bicarbonate soda) to suit different users. They both come in zero waste cardboard tubes for easy application but a few of the Soda Deodorant scents are also available in tins for applying with your hands.
I’ve been testing the Coco Mania scent that you can see in this article in its gorgeous and colourful packaging. It makes me smile every time I see it on my bathroom shelf.
This scent is amazing too and perfect for summer or anyone who wants to be reminded of sunny days. It is a tropical sensation that smells like Piña Coladas and sunshine! The scent combination of pineapple and coconut is fruity, sweet, and fresh – it’s truly lovely!
The formula of this deodorant is really creamy which I love. As soon as you start using it, the edges round perfectly for a smooth application. The deodorant is easy to apply and feels nourishing on my skin. It contains Shea Butter which is moisturising but without being sticky or greasy.
In terms of sweat protection, I think this deodorant provides good protection for daily use. I’m not a super sweaty person but definitely need to use deodorant. I always recommend applying natural deodorants straight after your bath or shower, on dry skin. They always work best when applied on clean, dry skin. Not having hair in your armpits also helps for effectiveness, if possible.
There are lots of other nice sounding scents to choose from in the Ben & Anna deodorant range, below are a few of them:
Plus three more scents in the Sensitive range too – see one of them featured in my guide about the best deodorants for tweens and teens.
