KALME Day Defence Cream SPF25 Review
|KALME Day Defence Cream SPF25 Review
Winter is over and with the start of March, I welcome spring. Even though it’s still quite cold, it is warming up and we’ve had a few really sunny days this week (not so much today though!).
SPF is really important to me, especially in the spring and summer. I’m fair skinned, burn easily and have had a few too many skin cancer cases among family and friends.
When the sun’s out, the SPF is out for me. I often wear it in the winter too if spending time outdoors.
My new SPF face cream is the KALME Day Defence Cream SPF25 and it’s perfect for spring. It’s a naturally-active hydrating cream with pure mineral SPF25 to protect your skin. It also contains caper extracts and other ingredients to help combat redness of the skin and symptoms of rosacea. The caper extract has been proved to reduce skin redness and sensitivity by up to 70%.
“KALME Day Defence SPF25 contains several key ingredients to help calm redness and sensitivity, protect skin from UV damage, 24-hour moisturisation and a potent antioxidant with anti-acne actions.”
This time of year, with the heating still on and the wind sometimes cold, my skin can be a bit delicate but this cream is dermatologically approved for sensitive skin so a great fit for me.
The KALME Day Defence Cream is rich and very moisturising but light enough to sink in quickly when I’m rushing to get ready in the morning. With three young kids to get out of the house early in the morning, a quick dab of face cream and a hairbrush through my hair is usually all I have time for.
This lovely cream also contains a patented antioxidant called NDGA, that is up to100 times more effective than vitamin E, C or grape seed and proven to reduce underlying skin inflammation that causes bumpiness and spots. I love this aspect as I’m a huge fan of both Vitamin C and E in skincare products.
Of course, the cream is also free from parabens, perfumes, SLS and MI. It’s the ideal spring SPF moisturiser for anyone — especially those with the most sensitive skin. I’m going to introduce my husband to this cream too as his skin can be quite sensitive and I think this would work well for him as well.
KALME Day Defence Cream SPF25 is available from SkinShop.co.uk.
Product provided for this review. As always, all my reviews are 100% honest and all thoughts and opinions are my own.
I ordered this on the basis that the Covid 19 shutdown in Montreal meant that doctor’s surgeries were closed and I did not want to go to the emergency department for Rosacea – it’s embarrassing and irritating but not life threatening.
I came across an article where someone said this cream helped and decided to give it a go. I’m now on my second tube of cream and this stuff works (on me at least) as good as the prescription cream (Rosiver) that I was using previously.
Shipping charges are reasonable from the UK to Canada and the price is good. I thoroughly recommend this. For me, just the daytime stuff works perfectly.
I hope it works as well for you also.
Great to hear – thank you for commenting! :)
