Moonpig Christmas Event – Cards, Floristry & Cocktails

Moonpig Christmas Event

A Moonpig Christmas Event with Card Making, Flower Arrangement & Cocktail Masterclass

A couple of weeks ago, I joined the virtual Moonpig Christmas Event along with lots of other bloggers for a night of Christmassy fun from the comfort of our homes.

In the run up to the event, Moonpig had arranged everything we needed to be sent out to us: a JustEat voucher for some food, a credit to use on the Moonpig app to order our personalised Christmas cards, a gorgeous bouquet of flowers and accessories and everything we needed for our cocktail masterclass.

We all got set up in our homes ready for the Moonpig Christmas Event in a Zoom meeting. My husband looked after the children upstairs and I had a very rare evening “out” in the kitchen!

Moonpig App Masterclass

We started with learning some cool features about the Moonpig app. Jasper from Moonpig walked us through how we can personalise cards for loved ones in ways we didn’t even know possible. Did you know that you can add your own handwriting to Moonpig cards? You can even have your child make a drawing or do a paw print from you pet and upload that. Some features are only available on iOS at the moment but will hopefully be available on Android soon.

Making personalised Christmas cards is super easy with the Moonpig app. There is a range of 10,000+ cards with lots of filters that will help you find the perfect card for your recipient. You can add your own photos and your own messages and Moonpig will make sure the cards are sent out at the right time. The app can also remind you of important dates and events and be your digital address book too.

Download the Moonpig app here and enjoy 20% off cards with the code APP20CA (only possible via the app)

You can also buy gifts via the Moonpig app and there’s a lovely selection to choose from and there are flowers too.

Flower Masterclass

Next up, we had a flower arrangement class with Roxanne from Moonpig and this was so much fun! I’d never really done anything like this before bur I really enjoyed it. Roxanne explained everything but we had creative freedom to place the flowers as we wished.

For this masterclass, we focussed on creating the perfect Christmas centrepiece.

The activity was very enjoyable, and the result was a beautiful flower arrangement perfect for the dining table. It looked festive and stylish!

Cocktails Masterclass

Last but not least, we had a cocktail masterclass with Conor from Mix & Twist. We had been sent a bunch of cocktail making equipment and ingredients to use, including a bottle of Belvedere Vodka that Moonpig sells as part of their gift offering (alongside other spirits).

We were taught how to make three different cocktails:

  • Vodka Garden: 45ml Belvedere Vodka, 25ml lime juice, 25ml sugar syrup, 6-8 mint leaves, 25ml elderflower soda, 1inch Cucumber slice
  • Kiwi Collins: 45ml Belvedere Vodka, half peeled kiwi, 25ml lemon juice, 25ml sugar syrup and soda top
  • Gingerbread Espresso Martini: 45ml Belvedere Vodka, 15ml Gingerbread syrup & 60ml Espresso

I don’t have many photos of the cocktail making as it was dark and difficult to take photos during the event. I made two of each cocktail so that my husband could sample them too.

Vodka Garden was our favourite (and most of the other bloggers that had joined the event agreed). It was so refreshing, and the combination of lime, mint, elderflower and cucumber was very delicious!

The cocktail masterclass was lots of fun and as well as learning how to make these cocktails, we were taught a few bartender tips and tricks.

What a fun event and how amazing that we could do it all from home during these strange times! Thank you so much to Moonpig for having me!

Goodies to use for the event’s activities were gifted to me to make it possible for me to take part in the Moonpig Christmas Event.
