I love trying new food products and am especially interested in healthy but delicious snacks. I’m a vegetarian myself who doesn’t like to eat eggs so most my snack products are vegan. Over the past couple of weeks I’ve been trying some raw snacks and desserts from The Living Food Kitchen. The Living Food Kitchen: Raw Desserts, Granola & Shakes Review A Mum Reviews

The Shakes / £2.79 each

The almond based shakes are all made with natural and fresh ingredients and do not contain anything else. The sweetness comes from the fruits used. They are available in four different flavours:

  • Mango & Goji Berry Almond Shake A sweet and creamy mango and goji berry almond shake.
  • Pineapple & Coconut Almond Shake A tropical dairy free shake made with pineapple, coconut milk and raw almonds.
  • Cacao & Cherry Almond Shake A rich and tangy chocolate and cherry almond shake.
  • Blueberry & Acai Almond Shake A zesty blueberry and acai almond shake.

They are tasty, thick and filling. My favourite was the Pineapple & Coconut one which was perfectly balanced. Sometimes drinks with coconut in can be a bit too much for me but this one was delicious! The only one I didn’t like was the Cacao & Cherry one but only because I don’t usually like things that are cherry flavoured. The Living Food Kitchen: Raw Desserts, Granola & Shakes Review A Mum ReviewsThese were all surprisingly satisfying and very tasty! They are all 100g and full of goodness from nuts and fruits. I especially enjoyed the cheesecakes that all have a lovely texture that melts in your mouth almost like ice cream. They were all really refreshing! The chocolate mousse is another favourite of mine with a similar texture but more indulgent taste perfect for satisfying a chocolate craving in a more healthy way. These desserts are a great option for everyone who loves sweet treats but want healthier and more substantial options. In my opinion, they also make a great snack. The Living Food Kitchen: Raw Desserts, Granola & Shakes Review A Mum ReviewsRaw Sprouted Buckwheat Granola / £5.49

This is a high protein, raw sprouted granola packed with nutritious seeds. It contains sprouted buckwheat, date paste, currants, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, golden linseeds, cacao powder, cinnamon and Himalayan crystal salt. It’s quite a sticky granola and the pieces are large chunks. It tastes very natural and healthy and is very filling too thanks to its ingredients that are all very wholesome. I eat my granola with natural or Greek yoghurt. The Living Food Kitchen: Raw Desserts, Granola & Shakes Review A Mum Reviews
