Recipe: Kefir-Quark & Berry Coulis Breakfast Pots
They say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and I definitely agree! I always wake up hungry and ready for something filling and tasty to eat. In this blog post, I will share a yummy breakfast recipe that uses Bio-tiful Kefir-Quark.
Bio-tiful Kefir-Quark is a unique combination of Kefir, a 2000-year-old bio-live drink, and Quark, a high-protein fresh cheese. Together, they make a creamy and thick product full of healthy gut-friendly bacteria. One pot of Bio-tiful Kefir-Quark also contains over 18g of protein, calcium and other essential minerals and vitamins, including B2 and B12.
It’s free from artificial colours, flavours and preservatives and it’s also gluten-free and contains no added sugar. It’s just made from pasteurised skimmed cow’s milk fermented with live quark and kefir cultures.
“Research shows that there are greater quantities and more varied types of beneficial bacteria in Kefir than yoghurt, and that regular consumption can improve digestion and our tolerance to lactose.”

Kefir-Quark & Berry Coulis Breakfast Pots
You don’t need many things at all to make this delicious breakfast and it’s quick to make too. You can even prepare it the night before to have it ready for the morning. This recipe serves one but you can easily make more!
Ingredients:
- 150g Bio-tiful Kefir Quark
- 50g fresh or frozen berried (I used a frozen Black Forest mix)
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. honey
- 100g granola
Method:
- In a medium saucepan, mix the berries with the vanilla extract and honey. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium-low. Cook for a few minutes, stirring frequently, to make a coulis. Allow to cool.
- In a glass tumbler, layer the granola, the Kefir-Quark and the berry coulis. You can have one big layer of each or several thinner layers — whichever you prefer.
- Enjoy!
