The Red Kite Sit Me Up Inflatable Ring is a unique inflatable ring seat for babies from around 9 months old with a fun play tray. It’s padded and the tray is soft to ensure comfort.

The play ring comes with two learning toys to keep babies entertained. One is a ladybird and one is a bee and they rattle and squeak! I love these soft toys and so does my little girl. They are detachable so you can take them off and use them elsewhere too. We like to attach them to our pushchair for fun on the go.

We just spent a week visiting my mum and though she has some baby and kids’ things available, I wanted something that I could use for my baby to sit in on the floor as my mum has wooden floors and they’re not soft enough for a baby to sit on without extra padding and some protection on the sides in case she leans and falls over (as my baby does sometimes at 7 months of age).

When I came across the Red Kite Sit Me Up Inflatable Ring, I thought it was perfect for what I needed! It comes delivered in quite a small and flat package so that was ideal for travelling too. At our destination, we inflated the ring, attached the toys and the tray and we were ready to use it.

The ring itself is very sturdy and feels like it will last a long time. The tray attaches with Velcro and my baby can rip it off herself. Maybe press-stud buttons or something like that would be better so that babies couldn’t remove the tray themselves. If you have an escape artist, your baby might not stay in the ring!

This seat was quite useful for us when travelling as it meant my little one had a fun and comfortable seat to use while we were away. One change that I would suggest is to add some non-slip patches to the bottom of the ring to keep in in place on wooden floors as it tends to slip around a bit as my baby moves. We put some cushions around the ring to stop it moving. This is not a problem when using it on carpet.

My baby is a couple of months younger than the recommended age but I think she’s at the right stage of development for it. She can sit up well and only topples over if she’s trying to reach something far away or trying to crawl away and she’s tall and large for her age so she fits it well.

We love the bright colours of the Garden Gang design and the fun illustrations. The toys are lovely and overall it’s a great product! You can take the cover off the ring and wash it too.
