Savile Row Company London Men’s Wear Review
|Savile Row Company London Men’s Wear Review
Did you see my Father’s Day Gift Guide last week? In it, I suggested a shirt from Savile Row Company London as a gift and today I’m going to go into a bit more detail about that brand and review a couple of their items.
Until recently, I hadn’t hear of Savile Row Company London but I’m a woman and I’m Swedish so I haven’t grown up here in the UK. My husband told me it was a really well known brand — a store that has been established for a long time and are known for their high quality yet affordable tailor made and off-the-shelf shirts, suits and trousers. They do also sell some clothes for women.
A recent, eco-friendly update that Savile Row Company London are rolling out at the moment is that their packaging will be plastic free. Their shirts are already packaged in plastic free packaging. They’re also made from BCI cotton. All the outer packaging is already made from sustainable paper sources and fully recyclable.
My husband works in a casual office so doesn’t wear shirts very often, so we opted for one of Savile Row Company’s men’s casual shirts — they have a good selection of polo shirts and short sleeved shirts as well as their dressier shirts.
We chose the Red Cotton Piqué Classic Fit Polo Shirt which is a classic polo shirt ideal for men looking for a smart yet comfortable shirt. It’s got a soft collar and a two button placket. It’s made from 95% cotton and 5% spandex and offers a relaxed fit with a slight stretch to retain shape over time. It can be machine washed at 40 degrees. We ordered a Large for my husband as he’s got broad shoulders and chest and we should’ve gone for Medium as it’s a bit too large for him so next time we’ll go for a Medium.
Savile Row Company London also make 100% cotton pyjamas and lounge pants which are very stylish! I have one of their Navy White Diamond Print Dressing Gown for myself. It’s a men’s one but I really like it as it reminds me of a robe my dad used to have. He passed away 10 years ago so anything that reminds me of him feels special.
I ordered it in size Small and it’s a nice loose fit on me. The dressing gown is made from soft cotton-poplin which is light and comfortable. It’s machine washable too and there are matching pyjamas, lounge trousers and shorts available too.
