Japan is famous for many things and one of them is their amazing selection of fun and tasty candy and snacks. There is a huge global demand for Japanese snacks which is why the TokyoTreat Subscription Box was launched in 2015. It all started humbly with Ayumi Chikamoto running a small business from home, but has now grown to a popular global monthly subscription service for Japanese snacks. Find out more in my TokyoTreat Subscription Box review below.

TokyoTreat September 2024 Box Review: Moon Fest Snacktacular

We sampled last month’s box which was called Moon Fest Snacktacular. It was full of fun snacks and treats:

  • KitKat Matcha (large bag of mini KitKats)
  • Twist Corn BBQ Flavor
  • Crunky Cookie Ball
  • Caramel Popcorn
  • Cream Collon Lemon Flavor
  • Banana Castella
  • Garlic Shrimp Japanese-Style Chips
  • Premium Black Thunder Butter Flavor
  • Golden Moon Senbei
  • Senbei & Peanut Snack Mix
  • Full Moon Rabbit Senbei
  • Champon Noodles
  • Fried Squid Senbei
  • Mini Mochi Candy
  • Mini Moonlight Cookies

What a great mix of savoury and sweet Japanese treats! We enjoyed sampling the products as a family. I spent a few summers in Japan as a child so have grown up with Japanese flavours. Because of this, I was very excited to share this experience with my own family. It was so much fun tasting these sweets and snacks with my husband and children, exploring new Japanese treats.

My husband loved the savoury treats and the kids especially loved the Cream Collon Lemon Flavor, Premium Black Thunder Butter Flavor, and the Mini Mochi Candy. I had many favourites!

I love that you get a printed guide within the box. Naturally, the writing on the food packaging is in Japanese so it’s great to have some information about each product in English. Also, I am a vegetarian so I appreciated the Suitable for Vegetarian section for each product too.
