One Green Bottle Stainless Steel Baby Bottle Review – Adaptable from Baby to Toddler

One annoying aspect of parenthood is the sheer volume of stuff that babies and toddlers seem to need. Baby bottles and sippy cups account for many of these things! Even though I breastfed all three of my daughters, I did express milk and accumulated more bottles than I had expected in our kitchen. Then weaning comes along and the need for different cups and spouts… It’s just too much and the plastic ones get ruined so quickly. I was so glad when I discovered reusable stainless-steel bottles as my daughters now all drink out of them and they last!

The main brand in our reusable bottle collection is One Green Bottle and I’m really excited to announce that they have a new product that is a solution to all of the above – one product that takes your newborn baby from drinking from a baby bottle through toddlerhood and beyond.

Say hello to the One Green Bottle Stainless Steel Baby Bottle. It’s a wonderful product that cleverly adapts to suit your child’s needs from the very early baby days to toddlerhood and longer too.

The sets are available in three colours – Teddy Blue, Bunny Pink and Toffee which you can see in this post. Each set includes:

• 150ml stainless steel bottle
• BPA/BPS free non leaching polypropylene teat holder ring
• 2 measuring cap/covers
• food jar lid
• silicone sippy cap
• silicone rubber slow flow teat

The bottle is a single wall stainless steel so that you can cool down and heat up the contents quickly and safely. All the plastic component parts are BPA/BPS free non leaching polypropylene. The parts are steriliser safe and boil wash safe, just remember to take apart completely and to allow the parts to fully cool before reassembly. (Steel parts cannot be put in a microwave steriliser, naturally.)

Everything is packaged beautifully in a gift box and this set would make an amazing gift for a new parent!

There are so many different functions for the different parts as you can see above, starting with a stainless-steel baby bottle with a teat ring and a silicone rubber slow flow teat perfect for newborns. When it’s time to change the spout to a faster flow, you can change it to other brands of flat-based baby teats (OGB recommends NUK and Pura). Use the bottle with one of the silicone caps if your baby likes to hold the bottle themselves or to insulate slightly if you need to keep the contents warm or cold for a bit.

Both caps have an internal measuring guide for formula powder. You can use them both together for transporting or for shaking formula or just use one as a lid on the bare stainless-steel bottle.

The bottle can also be turned into a jar for transporting formula or baby food (or other foods in small amounts) with the addition of the screw cap. This is great for the weaning days and, again, you can choose to add a cup to help the contents keep its temperature for a while. It’s not insulated like a thermos flask but does help in my experience.

Finally, there’s a sippy cap that looks like a cute animal. This is a silicone sippy cap that pulls down low onto the steel bottle to make a toddler sippy cup. Very adorable!

Once the baby and toddler years have gone, you can use many of the parts in different ways. The steel bottle with the screw cap can be used for many different foods and drinks when out and about or in the home and the measuring cups will come in handy for measuring or for small stacks and food storage too.

The One Green Bottle Stainless Steel Baby Bottle is a very cleverly designed product that should be a staple for new parents. The only thing I would change is to make it possible to use the regular One Green Bottle caps on this bottle too as that would extend the possibilities even further.
