Playmobil Rescue Range Review – Medical Helicopter & Ambulance
|AD | Playmobil Rescue Range Review – Medical Helicopter & Ambulance
As you might know already, we are huge Playmobil fans in our family. I loved playing with Playmobil at friends’ houses as a child but didn’t have any sets of my own. So now I’m extra excited to join in with my own children to play with our family’s Playmobil sets together.
We have some new additions from the new, exciting Playmobil Rescue range from the Playmobil City Life category – a medical helicopter and an ambulance. These sets are great as individual sets to play with on their own as they both contain lots of pieces to play with but are also great as expansion sets for Playmobil hospitals and other play sets.
These sets celebrate the heroes that emergency medial workers are and encourage action-packed play missions for little ones. The Playmobil Rescue range provides endless entertainment while also teaching important social values such as teamwork, readiness to help others and a sense of responsibility – all in a playful way. Children playing with these sets have fun, feel strong and ready for real life adventures too.
Let’s have a closer look at these two sets! The Playmobil City Life Ambulance (Product No. 71202, RRP £49.99) consists of a modern looking ambulance and lots of accessories to help care for an injured construction worker.
The set includes 1 ambulance with light and sound module, 3 Playmobil figures (1 female paramedic, 1 male paramedic, 1 injured male construction worker), 1 patient transport stretcher, 1 infusion bag with infusion tube, 1 defibrillator, 1 documentation folder, 3 diagnostic charts, 3 splint bandages, 1 construction helmet, 1 air hammer, 1 head bandage, 2 plaster bandages, 1 sheet of sticker plasters and bandages, 1 wristwatch and 1 stethoscope.
The ambulance team is ready to help the injured construction worker – the paramedic duo have everything they need to get started with the care at the scene of the accident.
They put him on a stretcher and securely strap him in, connect the infusion bag and add bandages where needed. You decide what attention and care he needs to be able to get to the hospital safely.
Time to get into the ambulance where there’s more equipment onboard too. There’s a place for everything and a seat for one of the paramedics to sit in the back with the patient. Both paramedics can also ride at the front of the ambulance. The back doors of the vehicle open fully and there’s a side door with a large opening too. The roof of the ambulance comes off completely too which makes it easy to get your figures and accessories into place. The roof also houses the light and sound module that requires three 1.5 V micro batteries (not included).
Next up, the Playmobil City Life Medical Helicopter (Product No. 71203, RRP £39.99) which is an awesome set that includes a modern rescue helicopter and lots of accessories.
The set includes 1 realistic rescue helicopter, 1 male rescue pilot, 1 female rescue co-pilot, 1 injured female hiker, 1 ambulance stretcher, 1 infusion bag with infusion tube, 1 set of first aid instruments, 1 backpack, 1 first aid bag, 1 first aid kit, 1 sticker sheet with plasters and dressings, 1 helmet with microphone, 1 visor cap, 1 pair of headphones and 1 wrist watch.
The large rescue helicopter is very realistic and has movable rotor blades. Kids love flying this around the room!
Head off on a search mission to find and rescue the injured hiker. You can use the medical kits to treat some injuries at the location, before transporting the patient to the nearest hospital for further care.
Put the injured hiker on the stretcher which can then be put into the helicopter. The helicopter has side doors and a cockpit window that open to make it easy to put the figures in and to take them out as you wish.
The co-pilot paramedic can fly with the pilot in the front or sit with the patient in a seat at the back of the helicopter to be able to provide care or monitor the IV infusion in transit.
The blades of the helicopter can conveniently be pushed together to save space when storing the play set.
Both these Playmobil sets are great for encouraging imaginative role play and for children to immerse themselves into the lives of rescue workers. The sets are recommended from age 4 years and above due to the small pieces that are included. The sets are easy to assemble by following the printed building instructions that come with each set.
