Piccolo Multigrain Tomato Ring Puffs & Carrot Star Puffs
Piccolo, the UK’s biggest organic baby food brand has recently made three additions to their popular baby snack range. You might have already seen the new Mighty Oaty Bar with bananas in my blog post Healthy Vegan Snacks for Children & Busy Parents.
The other two new products are Multigrain Tomato Ring Puffs and Carrot Star Multigrain Puffs which we will have a closer look at in this article.
These delicious new snacks from Piccolo are made using organic and balanced ingredients and without any added salt, sugar, or palm oil – all goodness and no nasties. They are a great choice for parents looking for snacks that are both nutritious and delicious.
Plus, they’re fun for kids too! My toddler and her older sisters love snacking on these and love the fun shapes. My youngest and eldest love the carrot stars the best and my tomato-loving middle child loves the tomato rings. They would make great finger food for weaning babies too and they’re suitable from 7 months onwards. Can be enjoyed at home or out and about.
These multigrain puffs contain 30% more fibre compared to other baby and toddler puff snacks on the market which is great. This will help to support digestion and gut health development as well as keep little ones full for longer.
The puffs are made with protein-rich red lentils (as well as corn and quinoa) making them much higher in protein than alternative puff snacks. Two of my kids do now like pulses yet so these snacks are a great way of sneaking some in as well as getting more veggie goodness from carrots and tomatoes.
These snacks were kindly gifted to us as samples. As always, all my reviews are 100% honest and all thoughts and opinions are my own.
